1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all ceremony services booked through Sienna Grace Ceremonies, including wedding ceremonies, naming ceremonies, and funeral ceremonies. By making an enquiry, paying a deposit, or confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms.
2. About Us
Sienna Grace Ceremonies is operated by Sienna Grace as a sole trader, based in Cheshire (WA7 2QA) and serving clients across the North West of England and beyond by arrangement. Travelling to other areas is also included in our services.
• Email: hello@siennagraceceremonies.co.uk
• Website: www.siennagraceceremonies.co.uk
3. Our Services
Sienna Grace Ceremonies provides bespoke, personally written and delivered ceremonies, including but not limited to:
• Wedding and commitment ceremonies
• Vow renewals
• Naming ceremonies
• Funeral and memorial ceremonies
• Celebrations of life
• Ashes interment ceremonies
Ceremonies may be delivered in person or online (e.g. via video call), depending on what has been agreed with you in advance.
As an independently trained celebrant, ceremonies conducted are personal and symbolic in nature. For legally recognised marriages, couples remain responsible for separately completing all legal requirements (including giving notice of marriage and any registrar attendance required) with the relevant Registration Service.
4. Enquiries & Booking
Initial enquiries can be made via the website contact form or by booking a consultation through Calendly. A booking is only confirmed once:
• We have discussed your requirements and agreed availability for your date; and
• Your deposit (see Section 5) has been received; and
• You have received written confirmation from Sienna Grace Ceremonies.
Until these steps are complete, your date is not held or guaranteed.
5. Fees, Deposits & Payment
Current indicative pricing is published on the website and may be confirmed in writing at the time of your enquiry. Deposit is non refundable.
5.1 Weddings, Vow Renewals & Naming Ceremonies
• Deposit: a non-refundable deposit of 50% is payable to secure your date.
• Balance: the remaining balance is due no later than 10 weeks before the ceremony date.
• Bookings within 4 months of the ceremony: where the booking is made 4 months or less before the ceremony date, a deposit (Booking Fee) of 50% of the total fee is payable to secure the date, with the remaining 50% due no later than 6 weeks before the ceremony date.
5.2 Funerals & Celebrations of Life
Funeral and celebration of life ceremonies are usually arranged, and paid for, via the Funeral Director handling the service, rather than paid to Sienna Grace Ceremonies directly. This is known as a disbursement – a cost set by the celebrant but collected and passed on to you by the Funeral Director as part of their invoice. Where this is the case, payment terms are agreed between you and the Funeral Director.
Where a funeral or celebration of life is booked directly with Sienna Grace Ceremonies from the outset (rather than via a Funeral Director), the following applies:
• Deposit: a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total fee is payable to secure the date.
• Balance: the remaining 50% is due no later than 5 days before the service.
5.3 Payment Method
Payment is currently taken by bank transfer (BACS) via a link transfer system.
If a balance payment is not received by the relevant due date, Sienna Grace Ceremonies reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled by the client, in line with Section 6 below.
6. Cancellations & Postponements
6.1 Cancellation by you
If you need to cancel your ceremony, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. In all cases, the deposit is non-refundable, as it secures your date and covers the time spent on early preparation.
Weddings, vow renewals & naming ceremonies: any balance paid beyond the deposit will be refunded in full if cancelled more than 10 weeks before the ceremony. If cancelled within 10 weeks of the ceremony (i.e. after the balance becomes due), no refund of the balance will be given.
Funerals & celebrations of life booked directly: any balance paid beyond the deposit will be refunded in full if cancelled more than 5 days before the service. If cancelled within 5 days of the service, no refund of the balance will be given.
6.2 Postponement
If your ceremony needs to be postponed (for example due to venue, weather, or registrar availability for legal weddings), we will do our best to accommodate a new date subject to availability. Fees already paid will be carried over to the new date where possible.
6.3 Cancellation by us
In the rare event that Sienna Grace Ceremonies is unable to deliver your ceremony (for example due to illness or an emergency), we will make every reasonable effort to arrange a suitably qualified, trusted celebrant colleague as a replacement, or to reschedule. If neither is possible, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid.
7. Working on Your Ceremony
Ceremony content is created collaboratively. We will ask you to provide information, stories, and preferences by agreed deadlines so there is time to write, review, and refine your ceremony script. Late provision of information may affect how much the ceremony can be tailored or revised before the date.
Draft ceremony scripts are shared with you for your review and amendment once the deposit has been paid. The final script will not be issued until the balance has been paid in full, in line with the payment terms in Section 5.
8. Circumstances Outside Our Control
Sienna Grace Ceremonies is not liable for any failure or delay in performing services caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, venue closure, transport disruption, illness, or other emergencies. Where such an event affects your ceremony, we will work with you in good faith to find the best available solution.
9. Photography, Recording & Portfolio Use
With your permission, photographs, video, or brief excerpts from your ceremony (excluding sensitive personal details) may be used on the Sienna Grace Ceremonies website, social media, or marketing materials, for portfolio purposes. You will always be asked for consent in advance and may decline or withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us – see our Privacy Policy for more detail.
Drone photography and videography may be offered as an optional add-on where requested. This service is operated by a suitably insured, licensed and trained operator. Use of drone footage for portfolio or marketing purposes is subject to the same consent terms set out above.
10. Confidentiality & Sensitive Information
During ceremony planning, you may share personal, family, religious, health-related, or bereavement information with us. This information is treated with discretion and used solely for the purpose of preparing and delivering your ceremony, in line with our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
Ceremony scripts written by Sienna Grace Ceremonies remain the intellectual property of Sienna Grace Ceremonies. Clients are granted a personal licence to keep and use their own ceremony script for personal, non-commercial purposes. Scripts may not be reproduced, resold, or passed to another celebrant or organisation without permission. This is mentioned on our FAQ page.
12. Our Liability
Sienna Grace Ceremonies will deliver services with reasonable skill and care, in line with AMC training standards and any applicable professional code of conduct. We are not liable for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control (see Section 8), or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12.1 Insurance
Insurance and Liability
Sienna Grace Ceremonies holds Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance. While every care is taken in the planning and delivery of your ceremony, liability is limited to the value of the services booked. We are not liable for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Force Majeure clause below).
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform its obligations under this agreement where such failure results from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disaster, illness, government restrictions, or other unforeseeable events. In such circumstances, we will work with you to reschedule the ceremony, offer a colleague to work on my behalf or agree a fair resolution.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly so we can try to resolve the matter. As an AMC-trained celebrant, Sienna Grace Ceremonies aims to act in line with recognised professional standards for independent celebrancy. If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first at hello@siennagraceceremonies.co.uk so we can try to resolve it.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, if you’re not satisfied with our response.
