What a Consultation Involves
When we have a consultation or what i call a discovery call it is just that, it’s really just a relaxed chat to get to know each other and talk through your ideas.
Here’s what we usually cover:
Your vision & preferences – I’ll ask what you’d like your ceremony to feel like and any special touches you want for yourself or your loved one. Whether that is for a celebration or wedding ceremony.
Practical details – Date, time, location, and who will be involved.
Ceremony style – We’ll discuss whether it’s formal, informal, themed, or completely unique.
Readings, music & rituals – Any personal readings, songs, or symbolic acts you’d like included.
Questions & advice – Anything you’re unsure about, from structure to suppliers, I’ll guide you through.
Next steps – We’ll outline what happens after the consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
I write your script / Your story and send you copies to approve. Your story, Your day. Your way.
For Eulogies and Order of Service I write the script with the information you give me and you have full approval.
What you do want and what you don’t want. Or the wishes of your loved one can be discussed.
It’s completely no pressure, just a friendly conversation to make sure your ceremony reflects you or your loved one perfectly. You can bring ideas, questions, or just come as you are—we’ll make it simple and enjoyable. Ideally a telephone call to book your discovery call and we can have that informal chat over zoom, in person with a coffee (and cake) and I get to know you and your story.
The unique trust between you and your celebrant is key to an open communication style that is relaxed so you know you are being supported in the best way possible.
